Today Ben Lee unveiled the video for his uppity and infectious new single, “Big Love,” and it’s as heart-warming as a music video could ever possibly be. You see, the video is made up of the home video footage of the longest married couple in the U.S., John and Ann Betar, who are celebrating 82…

St. Vincent performs a brand new, super trippy song called “Everyone You Know Will Go Away” at David Byrne’s Contemporary Color Brooklyn performance last weekend.

If you’re one of the cool kids, chances are you’re already a fan of Pomplamoose and their deliciously quirky indie pop. For those of you not in the know, Pomplamoose is a duo consisting of real life couple Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn, who hail from California. Their name is the phonetic spelling of the…

“Wildfire” is the second single from Laura Burhenn, aka The Mynabirds, upcoming third album Lovers Know and it’s an infectious little ditty if ever there was one. The lyrics of “Material Girl” have more substance than the lyrics of this one. But, hey, pop music doesn’t require strong lyrics to be…

Julian Moon is a singer/songwriter hailing from Salt Lake City Utah. She describes her music as “acoustic pop” on her Facebook page and I think that’s an accurate description. Listening to her songs, it’s easy to picture her sitting alone in a room somewhere, writing them on a trusty acoustic guitar. I randomly happened across…

I love electropop. If you’ve been reading my reviews for even a month, you’ve surely figured that out by now. But I also like simple, acoustic music as well. And I have a real appreciation for electropop artists who can break their songs down and perform them acoustically.
