I love electropop.  If you’ve been reading my reviews for even a month, you’ve surely figured that out by now.  But I also like simple, acoustic music as well.  And I have a real appreciation for electropop artists who can break their songs down and perform them acoustically.  If your songs can be stripped down and performed like that, it just goes to show what talented songwriters you are.  And it’s even better when your songs start off acoustically and you then build on that, turning them into loops and samples and synth, etc.  I’m not sure if MS MR’s “Wrong Victory” started off acoustically or not, but it sure sounds beautiful that way.  Simple piano chords and a nice clean vocal result in a tender rendition that’s just perfect for chilling out in the shade this summer.
