VIDEO: Chromeo – Come Alive (feat. Toro y Moi)

What a fun and funky tune!  Lovely synth and snappy bass guitar noodling.  We dig.  Much.  Very much.

The comical video was directed by Alex Southam it’s inspired by the ridiculous 1987 comedy Mannequin, which starred Andrew McCarthy and Kim Cattrall with James Spader in a supporting role.  (This makes us wax nostalgic in a big way.  Which we suppose was the idea.)  Dave 1 is the would-be charming leading man and Bundick plays a department store manager. The song is from the duo’s forthcoming album, which you can already order on iTunes.

An entertainment journalist for 20 years, Michael McCarthy was a columnist and contributing editor for the magazines Lollipop and LiveWire. He co-created and wrote for Cinezine, one of the '90's most popular movie E-zines. The only time he's not listening to music is when he's watching television shows and movies or reading, usually music magazines.
