#songoftheday Polly Scattergood – “Subsequently Lost (Vince Clarke Remix)”

Today’s #songoftheday is a remix of “Subsequently Lost,” a truly awesome song from Polly Scattergood’s brilliant album Arrows, which was Mike’s #1 best album of 2013.  This remix was done by Vince Clarke of Erasure fame and it’s everything a proper EDM remix should be.  You’ve got your sonorous, throbbing beats, a highly potent dose of glimmering synth and plenty of little electro-tinkering for added depth.  Add to that the melody and haunting vocals of Polly’s original song and you have one slick beast of a remix that’s ripe for some serious dancing, working out or even zoning out.  (Yes, you can actually zone out to it — it’s hypnotic like that.)  Fans of Disclosure and Zedd should go nuts for this one.
