#songoftheday / VIDEO: Moby – “The Last Day” (with Skylar Grey)

Aside from his die-hard fans, most of us know that Moby can be hit or miss.  He has moments of brilliance but often veers too far in unexpected directions to retain the audience he accumulates when he’s spot on.  Well, he recently released fabulous cover of Duran Duran’s “Rio” and we crossed our fingers hoping that his next album would be in that trippy, haunting vein.  And it would seem that our wish is coming true, now that we’ve heard “The Last Day,” a gorgeous new track featuring vocals from the always flawless Skylar Grey.  It’s easily one of Moby’s best tracks ever and just might help him recapture some of the listeners who loved Play then forgot about him.
