For the 8th year in a row, The Killers have released a new Christmas single.  This absolutely lovely, acoustic song features Dawes and the slightly melancholic but amusing video stars Harry Dean Stanton, Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson.  Basically, the song is about being in L.A. as a transplant from another State, trying to make it in the movie business as an actor.  And struggling with that, particularly at Christmas time.  (Our editor, Michael, can really relate to this, having spent 3 years in L.A., trying and failing to make it as a writer, from 2003 to 2006.)  The combination of the vocals by Dawes’s Taylor Goldsmith and Brandon Flowers’ vocals is brilliant.  Brandon does most of the lead vocals, but Taylor harmonizes perfectly with him on much of it, especially the chorus.
