#songoftheday = TYKETTO: “THE PICTURE”

by Michael McCarthy

If you love old school metal ballads, you have to hear this new song called “The Picture” by Tyketto, one of the most under-rated bands of that era. Music has been making me cry a lot lately but it’s usually old songs that make me feel nostalgic. This is the first brand new song in a while that has hit me that hard. It seems to be about losing someone you love because things just went wrong and you know you’re going to be with someone else someday but you also know that the picture is always going to feel wrong, not being with the person you lost.

I especially recommend this song if you like Journey and Survivor. This one is right up there with classics like “Open Arms” and “The Search is Over.”

“The Picture” is from Tyketto’s excellent new album, Closer to The Sun, which I would highly recommend. Especially if you’ve liked any of Tyketto’s music in the past. This new album is truly as great as their debut and Strength in Numbers.
