If you like fat bass guitar lines and snappy electronic beats with pretty female vocals then you’re in for a delicious treat with We Never Met’s “Come Play With Fire.”  It’s a new-wave inspired masterpiece, if I do say so myself.  Yet it also sounds very futuristic.  It overflows with that special kind of magic you get when the past meets the future in a song.  Exhilarating, to be sure.  It’s like a fusion of Ladytron and Miss Kittin.  To that end there is also something of an electro-clash vibe to it as well.

We Never Met is the musical marriage of London based singer-songwriter Silke and Belgian electronic artist Peter Clasen.   They worked together through the internet, and until it came time to make this video, they had, in fact, never met in person, hence them calling themselves We Never Met.  I just hope they’ll be making more music together now that they have.  We need a full-length album from these two.  Stat.
