#songoftheday / VIDEO: The 1975 – “Heart Out”

Today’s #songoftheday is The 1975’s “Heart Out,” which they’ve just released the above video for…  It’s a rather amusing video because they have children playing them instead of actually appearing in the video themselves.  (They’re a young band, but not that young.)  Clever blokes, right?  But the main reason it’s our #songoftheday today is that Michael was blown away by their performance at Boston Calling over the weekend, as we’re sure to read in his coverage.  And “Heart Out” was one of his favorite tracks that they performed.  This studio version has a bit of an electronic vibe to it, particularly where the beats are concerned.  And that’s great.  But live Michael says that it sounded very organic, like a classic track by The Rolling Stones.  So, cheers to them on the studio and live versions.

Below is a video of the band performing “Heart Out” live, which we found on Youtube. Enjoy!
