#songoftheday / REVIEW: Yael Naim – “Dream In My Head”

“I no longer need to hide,” sings Yael Naim on “Dream In My Head,” the lead single from her fantastic new album, Older, which is released today.  Her music is the sort of artsy pop you’re either really good at or you fall flat on your face.  And she does not fall on her face.  Instead, she delivers a slow building, charming  pop song with a swaying melody that’s perfect for dancing at your favorite after hours spot.  A classic come down number, if you will.  It will have you swaying back and forth in your seat as you listen to it.  Meanwhile, Yael’s intoxicating voice goes down your throat nice and easy like maple syrup.  Marvelous.
