#songoftheday / REVIEW: Ryn Weaver – “The Fool”

“I’m a fool for / I’m a fool for you,” sings Ryn Weaver during the chorus of her spectacular new single “The Fool.”  As the chorus goes on, and she sings it over and over again, she hits higher and higher notes, eventually reaching so high she could put vintage Mariah Carey to shame.  And you can’t even tell if it’s falsetto.  If it is, it doesn’t quite sound like it.  It just sounds like she has an immaculate, flawless voice capable of doing anything, even rising so high that the angels in heaven can hear her.
