#songoftheday = LILY ALLEN: TRIGGER BANG (FEAT. GIGGS)

Welcome back, Lily Allen.  It’s been a while.  Well, OK, maybe only four years, but that’s a long time.  A woman could have four babies during that amount of time.  But, we get it, you toured behind the album and that took up a year or two.  But what have you been doing since?  Oh, that’s right, raising kids.  Anyway, glad to have you back.  “Trigger Bang” is fantastic.  First of all, Giggs is my favorite UK rapper and one of my favorite rappers period.  I love how you put him at the beginning of the song instead of in the middle eight where most rappers do their features.  It would’ve been even cooler if you had him come back at the end, but we’ll take what we’ve got and be happy with it.  His verse is spot on.  Then there’s you.  You sound as lovely as ever.  Such a beautiful voice.  And the lyrics are ace.  We love it when you sing about yourself.  Those are always your best songs.  The introspective ones.  Here’s hoping your new album, No Shame, sells millions of copies and you come tour the U.S. again.  Just be sure you stop in Boston!
