#songoftheday = GOO GOO DOLLS: “OVER AND OVER”

“Turn it up / Turn it over and start it again,” goes Goo Goo Dolls’ just released new masterpiece “Over and Over,” arguably their best song in over a decade, which hails from their forthcoming album Boxes, due out May 6th.

John Rzeznik and Robby Takac are the only original members of the band this time around, but that hasn’t stopped them from coming up with a vibrant, arena rock gem here.  If you’ve ever been a fan of the band in the past, one listen to this nugget should win you back.  I’m sure it’ll even earn them new fans from younger generations who were still in diapers when they were at their prime.  Then again, this is so good that you could say they’re at their prime now.  This is definitely what you would call a band at the top of their game and it should go over swimmingly on their headlining tour this summer, which will find them with Collective Soul and Tribe Society as their supporting acts.
