#songoftheday = FRED COLOMBO: “KILL ME”

Although he’s only 32 years old, French/Italian artist Fred Colombo has already toured 11 countries with the progressive metal bands Spheric Universe Experience, Artefact and Ghostfather.  For the past three years, however, he’s immersed himself deep into the trip-hop genre and if you’re listening to his latest single “Kill Me” above then you well know that he’s exceptionally good at it.  I’m a big fan of trip-hop, my favorite artists being Massive Attack and Tricky, and I dare say that this song rivals anything on their latest releases.  From the thick, mesmerizing beats to the ambient piano chords to Fred’s vocals, this song is as  perfect as the genre gets.
