SINGLE SPOTLIGHT: LIONFACE: “GIRL”

Do you ever get sick of being a girl in your town? Alt-pop artist Lionface sure does.  And you’ll certainly enjoy hearing her vent all about it on her ridiculously catchy new single, “Girl,” which blurs the lines between alt-pop and electro-pop, though it leans a bit more in the alt direction.  Who is Lionface?  Well, her actual name is Kat Marsh and some may know her as the former bass-player and backing vocalist for The King Blues.  Last year she released two EPs, Beast and Run For Cover, which received airplay on BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and XFM.  “Girl” will be released as one half of a double A-side that comes out on October 10th.

Lionface will be performing at The Marble Factory in Bristol this October (with Kosheen), along with two headlining shows in Winchester and London at Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen on October 10th.
