SHORT FILM: WOMAN DRIVER STARRING LAURA MARLING

Woman Driver is a short film in which Laura Marling plays a folk singer who is picked up by a charming guy driving a school bus.  She plucks at her acoustic guitar and plays three new tunes in it, one of which is “Walk Alone,” a song from her forthcoming album entitled Short Movie, which will be released on March 24th.

Marling is one of the four writers who worked on Woman Driver, which was made as part of the National Film Challenge, which specifically challenges participants to make their entire short film in 72 hours.  The film was awarded Best in Genre, Best Actress (Laura Marling) and Best Soundtrack.
