Yesterday we brought you Meg Myer’s eerie video for her new sultry new song “Desire.” Well, here’s another track, brought to our attention via an e-mail from its super talented co-writer and producer Doctor Rosen Rosen, who once remixed an entire Lily Allen album.
We’re pretty blown away by this one. “Go” is a deliciously up-tempo, hard-rocking tune that’s immediately contagious. It’s like a cross between Kelly Clarkson’s “Walk Away” and Bif Naked’s “Vampire.” “I got nothing to hide / I got nothing at all / You with all of the answers / Leave me alone,” begins the wicked — and wicked cool — kiss-off. We should also mention that it has a bit of a surf rock vibe with its mean little guitar riff, which is quite hypnotic. While we generally consider Meg to be a pop artist, this song is definitely rock if not metal.
