RECOMMENDED LISTENING: Janelle Monáe, Jidenna: “YOGA”

A slightly new, more accessible sound for Janelle Monáe, featuring slick and propulsive hip-hop beats.  Very, very nice.   Jidenna, one of the artists on Monáe’s  Wondaland label, guests on the track, delivering some fine rap toward the end.  “Yoga” will appear on Wondaland’s forthcoming EP Wondaland Presents THE EEPHUS, which is due out this summer.  Other artists to be included are  Roman GianArthur, Deep Cotton and St. Beauty.  Jidenna will also appear on the EP with a song called “Classic Man.”
