VIDEO: Janelle Monáe, Jidenna – Yoga

I already praised this one when they first released the audio last week.  But let me repeat myself and say that this finds  Janelle Monáe in new territory, making a bootylicious, very accessible pop song that should go over much better than her usual sci-fi-tinged fare.  She’s assisted here by Jidenna, an artist Janelle recently signed to her Wondaland Records label, which is affiliated with Epic.  If this song is any indication her label just might be a success story, unlike so many labels created by artists that release one or two things then fold.  Definitely wishing Janelle the best here.  Although I do hope there’s still a sci-fi element about her music again when she releases her next album.
