OK, so I’m a sucker for any song that mentions Los Angeles, having lived there for three years myself before I moved back to the Boston area. I also happen to collect California songs. To that end, I don’t mind telling you that I have 349 of them (no, that’s not a typo). Suffice to say I would naturally be biased in favor of this song, but even if it didn’t mention Los Angeles I’d still be praising it because it’s just plain massive. Gorgeous, powerful vocals that call to mind Florence + The Machine. Lovely piano and infectious beats. The production is exquisite, too. Just a marvelous song all around. Totally #songoftheday worthy, but I already posted a song of the day today and I’m so excited about it that I don’t want to wait until tomorrow to post it!
