Elohim’s latest single, “Skinny Legs,” might strike you as an abstract, maybe even inaccessible, song the first few times you listen to it. I even wondered if it was too bizarre for me when it first wormed its way inside my ears. That said, I put it on one of my new singles playlists and it’s been growing on me more and more each time I hear it. I’ve come to the conclusion that everything Elohim does is brilliant. I doubt you’d find an electronic pop, or artsy pop, fan who’d disagree. “Skinny Legs” is no exception and it just might be her best song yet. It’s a precious mix of glitch, dubstep, electronica and Elohim’s unmistakable vocals. And, now, a mesmerizing video you can’t take your eyes off of. You can’t go wrong with that.
I realize we made this one song of the day when the audio was first released, but the just released video is so amazing that I had to post it and so I figured, why not make it song of the day again? To that end, this is the only song I’ve ever made song of the day more than once.
