Nathan Gray (vocals; also of BOYSETSFIRE) initially formed I AM HERESY in 2011 to live out his love for dark, violent noise. After THE CASTING OUT disbanded, the start of a new era had begun as Nathan teamed up with his son, Simon Gray (guitar), and a wild bunch of like-minded musicians to form I AM HERESY. They released a self-titled debut album that was soon followed by the O Day Star, Son Of Dawn EP in March 2013. On these two releases, I AM HERESY developed a sound that successfully channeled the passionate hardcore/punk fury of early BOYSETSFIRE, with an added metallic-tinge. Their new album, Thy Will, further develops this unique style.
