#songoftheday / REVIEW: GREEN BUZZARD: “SLOW IT DOWN”

Since releasing their debut single, “Zoo Fly,” back in June, Sydney’s Green Buzzard have been lighting up the blogosphere like a Christmas tree on Christmas Eve.  Meanwhile, they’ve received accolades from the likes of The Guardian and NME.  Recently, their cover of Tobias Jesso Jr’s “Hollywood” was our #songoftheday and Tobias himself took to social media to praise it.  Now they’re back with their very strong second single, an irresistible tune called “Slow It Down Now,” which sounds like The Stone Roses on a massive sugar high with its sweet and swirling guitar hooks and smooth as milk chocolate melody.  They’re like an Aussie version of The 1975 covering The Beatles.  If their debut album is as superb as the singles they could start a revolution.
