We’d never heard of Anna of the North before, but The Chainsmokers have been sending us tracks to post since long before they had a mega-hit with “#SELFIE” and they’ve never disappointed us once. One thing we like about them is how their remixes never quite sound alike. Usually when you have someone like, say, Dave Aude or Tiesto, people come to expect a certain sound to their remixes. So, if Ellie Goulding gives them a track to remix, she’ll want it to be in the vein of other remixes they’ve done in the past. So, they’re basically stuck doing very similar remixes each time they get a track. But The Chainsmokers don’t comply with this unwritten rule. Here, for example, they’ve slowed down the song and given it moderate beats. You’d probably expect them to speed something up and give it monster beats, but that’s not what they did and we say bravo to them for doing something original and especially good at that.
