“Darling hold my hand, ’cause I don’t want to walk on my own anymore,” sing Jess Glynne on “Hold My Hand,” an entirely fabulous dance pop number you’re likely to hear a lot of during the coming months. Glynne is venturing out alone after singing on a couple of last year’s biggest (euro)pop hits, Clean Bandit’s delicious “Rather Be” and Route 94’s bouncy “My Love.” I suppose the big question is whether or not “Hold My Hand” measures up to those two songs. And the answer is a big resounding yes. Glynne’s memorable voice felt familiar the first time I heard “Rather Be” and immediately wondered who the singer was and I’ve been a big fan of her work ever since.
