Well, judging by these samples, the new La Roux album is going to be one of this year’s best pop records. It’s a bit more laid back than the material on their self-titled debut, but songs like these tend to be the ones that have the most lasting effect on you. Instead of immediately sucking you in, they do so a little bit more each time you listen to them. After a few spins, you’re completely hooked and you’ve got some new favorite tunes. So, sit back, relax and give this one a listen. It’s a full 16 minutes long, not one of those tiny album samplers where you can’t even tell what song you’re listening to.
