#songoftheday / VIDEO: Take That – “These Days”

We didn’t have high hopes for this new Take That single, given that they’ve only got three of the original five members now.  But we were pleasantly surprised by “These Days,” which finds them waxing nostalgic about the band’s old days.  Well, at least during the verses.  During the chorus, they’re all about these days.   It’s a nice balance, we suppose, essentially saying that they remember where they came from but they’re living in the moment now, moving forward.  In any case, it’s as catchy as anything that’s hit number one on the UK singles chart during recent weeks and we expect it will rise to number one before long, assuming it hasn’t just yet.
