Yet another song where Ed Sheeran sings about drinking… In fact, this whole song is about feeling “the chemicals in my bloodstream.” So, I’m officially worried about ol’ Ed now. I think he needs an intervention. Stat.
OK, so I’m kidding about the intervention part, and I’m not exactly worried about him, but there does seem to be a pattern there and it’s so obvious that it had to be stated. But what must really be stated is what a fantastic song this is. Ed’s voice is fantastic, as usual, and Rudimental’s drum ‘n’ bass style music compliments it much better than you’d probably think. Maybe it’s not as surprising as when Ed came out with the decidedly pop “Sing,” but it’s definitely something different for Ed and for that reason alone I love it but, mostly, I love it because it’s just plain awesome.
