May 27 th, 2015 – Burbank, CA – Jenny Lewis premieres the new video for her current single, “She’s Not Me,” today on Buzzfeed. Directed by Lewis, the video parodies her child-actor past and also features Fred Armisen, Zosia Mamet, Leo Fitzpatrick, Feist, and Vanessa Bayer. Lewis also directed the video for her previous single “Just One of The Guys,” which starred her friends Anne Hathaway, Brie Larson, Kristen Stewart, and Tennessee Thomas as her band.
Both “She’s Not Me” and “Just One of The Guys” are from Lewis’ critically acclaimed album The Voyager, which gave the L.A.-based singer-songwriter her first Top 10 album and highest chart debut yet. It earned ‘Best of 2014’ accolades from Rolling Stone, TIME, NPR, Spin, Billboard, The Guardian, American Songwriter, Stereogum, Paste, and many more, while “She’s Not Me” and “Just One of the Guys” appeared on Year End Top Songs lists from The New York Times, Slant, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, Pitchfork, and more.
Jenny continues her tour of North America supporting The Voyager and has added three new shows: August 16th at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, OR, and August 25 th and 26 th at the Observatory in Santa Ana, which will wrap up the tour. In other news, Lewis and her longtime collaborator Johnathan Rice have written a song for the new Meryl Streep film Ricki And The Flash, which hits theaters on August 7th.
