#SONGOFTHEDAY: LITA FORD: “DRACULA”

by Michael McCarthy

Following her recent signing to Frontiers Music Srl, veteran guitarist/vocalist Lita Ford has just unleashed her bloody good new single “Dracula,” just in time for Halloween. The track was produced by Gary Hoey, mixed by Max Norman, and was performed by Lita, Gary Hoey and Bobby Rock on drums. Hoey previously produced Lita’s 2012 album Living Like A Runaway, which was fantastic, so I’m thrilled that they’re collaborating again.

Lita explains “Dracula”: “‘Dracula’ is a song about an entity that represents seduction and control, eventually draining you of your life and everything in it. But there’s something fun about flirting with disaster, making ‘Dracula’ a playful fantasy. The moaning slide guitars take on a life force all their own. Menacing!”

If you like contagious hard rock songs with loud guitars, you’re in for a real treat. Happy Halloween!
