The Maine Announces 24 Hours of American Candy Event In Phoenix To Coincide with Album Release
On March 31st, 2015, The Maine is set to release their fifth full-length studio American Candy via 8123. That same day, the band will be celebrating with a 24 hour hometown event all around Tempe, AZ (release day activities/details below) and are partnering with social network Meerkat to live stream the entire event for fans across the world. This week, Substream has also revealed their April cover which features The Maine to help celebrate the album’s release. The issue officially hits newsstands for purchase on 4/7. 24 Hours of American Candy is set to kick off with a live Twitter chat at 9:30pm PST on March 30th to get fans’ initial reaction to the album before a visit to the band’s hometown record store Zia Records in Tempe at 11pm PST for a signing and performance. From there, they’ll head out to revisit some of the places they grew up.
The band will also be sponsoring a pop-up shop at the Tempe Marketplace on Tuesday from 2-8pm PST. The American Candy Pop-Up will be stocked up with merch, CDs, and more and The Maine will be on hand for a signing and acoustic performance for the hometown crowd.
