PRESS RELEASE:

New York, NY (March 10, 2014) Today famed MASSIVE ATTACK Producer and HALO 4 Composer Neil Davidge releases his new video for ‘Home From Home’ Featuring Low Roar. His highly anticipated debut solo album ‘Slo Light’ is available now via The End Records!

Neil Davidge worked closely with director Stephen Discipline (Discipline Design Associates) and Adam Bradley (Clipfilms), an experienced cinematographer on the new Home From Home video. Together they created an emotional sequence of moving visual mages which convey a dark and mysterious journey from creation to discovery. The track features the haunting voice of Icelandic Low Roar vocalist Ryan Karazija and is one of Neil’s favourite tracks on the Slo Light album. The opening heart beat sound is an actual recording of Neil’s recently new born son Elliot and, as with much of Davidge’s exceptional production technique, is sequenced as part of the haunting opening rhythms which signify the start of life’s journey. The video is an amalgamation of scenic earth sequences juxtaposed against the electronic glitch symbolism from the Davidge album artwork and forms the perfect visual experience for Davidges’ evocative and emotional music bed.

“This really is one of my favourite tracks on the record. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it” – Davidge
Featuring a bevy of up and coming indie artists such as Cate Le Bon, Emi Green and Sandi Shaw; the album is sky-high on production value, with an unparalleled clarity and sonic depth typical of Davidge’s unique sound. An album deeply-schooled in Bristol beats, electronica, soundtracks, orchestral music and more, ‘Slo Light’ creates a fantasy world in which tension, darkness and beauty find the perfect equilibrium. The award-winning producer/musician Neil Davidge is renowned previously for his production, co-writing and sonic-sculpting of music for Massive Attack, David Bowie, Snoop Dog, Unkle, Damon Albarn, Primal Scream, Elizabeth Fraser and Mos Def, plus the hugely successful Halo 4 game score and soundtrack, which became the highest charting video game soundtrack on Billboard.

Following years of industry respect and renown, ‘Slo Light’ is primed to be the record that brings Davidge to the ears and minds of many discerning music lovers, as a figure of talent and vision, who’ll appeal to fans of sound-exploring producer/artists like Brian Eno, Trent Reznor, Moby and William Orbit.
